ECOFOX® 50mm Glass Wool Blanket Description

ECOFOX® A 50 mm Glass Wool Blanket is a flexible, lightweight thermal and acoustic insulation material composed of interlaced glass fibers bonded with a thermosetting resin. Its 50 mm thickness delivers an approximate thermal conductivity of 0.032 W/m·K, providing excellent heat retention in walls, ceilings, and around ductwork.

Ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, this blanket is commonly used in external wall cavities, loft spaces, mechanical plant rooms, and HVAC systems to improve energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and acoustic privacy.

ECOFOX® 50mm Glass Wool Blanket Application

1. External Wall Cavities: Friction‑fit between masonry or timber studs to improve thermal insulation and reduce heat loss.

2. Partition Walls & Ceilings: Lined inside metal or timber stud partitions and suspended ceilings for enhanced acoustic separation.

3. Loft and Attic Insulation: Laid across joists to create a continuous thermal barrier and prevent heat from escaping through the roof.

4. Under‑Floor Insulation: Placed beneath timber floorboards or within raised access floors to reduce draughts and improve comfort.

5. Duct and Pipe Wrap: Wrapped around HVAC ducts, steam pipes, and hot‑water lines to minimize energy losses and condensation risk.

6. Plant Room & Equipment Enclosures: Lining boiler rooms, plant enclosures, and around mechanical equipment to stabilize temperature and absorb noise.

7. Acoustic Lining: Installed in recording studios, indoor sports halls, or industrial partitions to help dampen reverberation and control noise levels.

ECOFOX® 50mm Glass Wool Blanket Advantage

1. High Thermal Efficiency: With a typical thermal conductivity around 0.032 W/m·K, it significantly reduces heat loss and lowers heating and cooling costs.

2. Excellent Acoustic Performance: Its open‑fiber structure absorbs sound across a broad frequency range, helping to reduce airborne noise and reverberation.

3. Non‑Combustible & Fire‑Safe: Classified A1 (non‑combustible) under EN 13501‑1, it won’t contribute fuel to a fire and helps maintain compartmentation.

4. Moisture‑Repellent & Mold‑Resistant: Hydrophobic treatment prevents water absorption, inhibiting mold growth and preserving long‑term performance.
