ECOFOX® Mineral Wool Slab, also known as stone wool or rock wool slab, is a high-performance thermal and acoustic insulation material made from natural volcanic rock, such as basalt or dolomite. It is produced through a spinning process at high temperatures, forming dense yet lightweight slabs with excellent insulating properties. These slabs are non-combustible, water-repellent, and dimensionally stable, making them ideal for use in a wide range of industrial, commercial, and residential applications. Mineral wool slabs are commonly faced or unfaced and can be easily cut and installed. They provide outstanding resistance to heat, fire, moisture, and sound, while also being eco-friendly and chemically inert.

1. Wall and Roof Insulation: Used in external and internal walls, flat or pitched roofs for thermal regulation and sound absorption.
2. HVAC and Duct Insulation: Installed around air-conditioning ducts and ventilation systems to reduce energy loss and control noise.
3. Industrial Equipment and Boilers: Applied as thermal insulation for furnaces, ovens, kilns, and other high-temperature equipment.
4. Partition and Ceiling Panels: Ideal for use in office buildings, schools, and hospitals to improve indoor acoustics and fire safety.
5. Fire Protection Systems: Used in fire-rated wall assemblies and doors to enhance structural fire resistance and delay heat transfer.
1. High Thermal Efficiency – Low thermal conductivity reduces energy loss.
2. Fire Resistant – Non-combustible, with melting point above 1000°C.
3. Acoustic Insulation – Dense fiber structure absorbs and reduces noise.
4. Water Repellent – Hydrophobic treatment keeps insulation dry and effective.
5. Eco-Friendly & Durable – Made from natural basalt, recyclable, and long-lasting.
Mineral wool slab works by combining the natural insulating properties of spun mineral fibers with a dense, rigid structure that provides both thermal insulation and acoustic performance.
Thermal Insulation
The fibers in mineral wool create countless tiny air pockets, which reduce heat transfer.
This helps maintain stable indoor temperatures, reducing energy loss in winter and summer.
Fire Resistance
Made from non-combustible materials (basalt or other natural minerals), mineral wool can withstand extremely high temperatures.
It acts as a passive fire barrier, slowing down the spread of flames and providing additional safety.
Acoustic Control
The open-fiber structure absorbs airborne sound waves and reduces impact noise.
This makes it highly effective for soundproofing walls, partitions, and ceilings.
Moisture Management & Breathability
Mineral wool is water-repellent yet vapor-permeable.
This means it resists water absorption while allowing trapped moisture to escape, preventing mold and dampness.
Structural Performance
The rigid slab form makes installation easy and ensures it maintains shape without sagging.
It provides stable insulation in walls, roofs, and floors over a long service life.
Mineral wool slabs insulate by trapping air, resist fire due to their mineral composition, absorb sound through their porous structure, and allow buildings to “breathe” while staying dry.
