Product Description

ECOFOX® Fiberglass Insulation Board Description

ECOFOX® Fiberglass insulation board is a rigid panel made from spun glass fibers bonded with a thermosetting resin. Designed for both thermal and acoustic control, these boards combine low density with high compressive strength, making them ideal for use where a firm, self-supporting insulation layer is required.

ECOFOX® Fiberglass Insulation Board Applications

1. Building Envelope Insulation

Wall Sheathing: Installed between studs or as exterior continuous insulation (behind cladding or siding) to reduce thermal bridging and improve whole‑wall R‑value.

Roof Deck and Attics: Placed under roof decking or between rafters to minimize heat gain/loss and prevent ice dams in cold climates.

2. HVAC Duct and Plenum Lining

Duct Insulation: Lining the interior of sheet‑metal ducts to limit conductive heat transfer in heating or cooling systems.

Noise Control: Absorbs fan and airflow noise, reducing rattles and airborne sound transmission in air‑handling units and plenums.

3. Acoustic Partitions and Ceilings

Partition Walls: Fitted within metal or wood stud partitions to dampen sound between rooms.

Suspended Ceilings: Laid into exposed‑grid ceiling systems (mineral fiber panels or grid inserts) for improved speech privacy and reverberation control.

4. Floor and Shear‑Wall Underlay

Raised Access Floors: Used under modular flooring to thermally isolate occupied spaces from unconditioned sub‑floors or slabs.

Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs): Incorporated into SIP assemblies to add rigidity, fire‑resistance, and acoustic performance.

5. Industrial and Specialty Enclosures

Equipment Enclosures: Around boilers, chillers, tanks, and piping manifolds where a firm, non‑combustible barrier is needed.

Cold‑Storage Rooms: In panel systems for walk‑in freezers or refrigerated warehouses, providing both low‑temperature insulation and structural support.
