1. Excellent Load-Bearing Capacity – Rigid board design provides strong mechanical strength, suitable for exterior walls, roofing, and industrial systems.
2. Consistent Performance in Extreme Conditions – Maintains insulating properties even under high temperature or humidity changes.
3. Enhanced Fire Safety – Classified as non-combustible, acting as a fire barrier and slowing down heat transfer during fire incidents.
4. Superior Acoustic Dampening – Effectively reduces echo and airborne noise, ideal for commercial and residential buildings.
5. Moisture-Repellent Surface – Treated to resist water penetration while remaining vapor-permeable for building breathability.
6. Sustainable and Eco-Conscious – Produced from natural basalt and recycled slag, contributing to green building certifications.
7. Long-Term Durability – Resistant to deformation, aging, and pests, ensuring stable insulation throughout the building’s lifecycle.
Rigid mineral wool insulation is manufactured by spinning molten rock or slag into fine fibers and compressing them into rigid boards. These fibers form a dense, interwoven structure filled with tiny air pockets, which significantly reduces heat transfer.
Thermal Performance – The trapped air within the fibers acts as a natural barrier against heat loss and heat gain, keeping indoor spaces energy-efficient.
Fire Protection – Because mineral wool is non-combustible, it creates a passive fire barrier that resists flames and high temperatures.
Sound Absorption – The dense fiber network absorbs and dampens sound waves, minimizing noise transmission through walls, ceilings, and floors.
Moisture Control – With hydrophobic treatment, the boards repel water while still allowing vapor diffusion, preventing condensation issues.
In practical applications, rigid mineral wool boards are installed in building envelopes, roofing systems, curtain walls, and industrial equipment. Their structural stability ensures long-lasting insulation performance without sagging or deformation.
